You GUYS….. Winter in Chicago has been ROUGH! I don’t think I have seen the sun or felt temperatures over 35 since October! After our week surviving the Polar Vortex (aka -20 degree weather), I booked a long weekend to Florida. Looking forward to a few days of sleeping in, reading books (check out my book recs HERE) and chilling by the pool with a cocktail!
First things first, accessories! 1. my favorite Quay (pronounced “key” btw) over sized aviators 2. inexpensive hoop earrings 3. gladiator sandals 4. how cute is this cuban inspired fedora!? I also love THIS style, but its at a higher price point. 5. these sunnies are lightweight and so cute 6. these hoops are under $10 and come in handful of colors 7. I LIVE in nude flip flops during the summer time.
The one thing I am most excited about going to Florida, is wearing sun dresses! It’s been almost 6 months since I wore a maxi dress and decided I should treat myself to a few new frocks. The dress on the left and the right are from the same designer, and listed as the same dress. BUT.. are made of totally different fabric and fit. The good news is, I love them both! I think the floral print on the right, could also be worn as a coverup or kimono style. I LOVE this halter dress! I would just caution ladies with larger busts as there isn’t much support on the top.

On to suits & coverups, as you can tell, i’m really into ruffled one-pieces! 1. love this coral number 2. I love cover-ups that can be also worn without a suit, and with jeans or shorts and a tank! 3. the top of this suit is so flatter! 4. I have this in white & burgundy 5. This cute pom detailed cover up comes in a handful of colors 6. I wore this off the shoulder (or on the shoulder, you pick) suit in croatia last summer and got so many compliments! It’s also super flattering on
This tumbler is great for bringing a cocktail, diet coke or just plain water to the beach or pool. It keeps your beverage cold for up to 9 hours. After a few hours in the sun, you will still see the ice cubes you tossed in this tumbler with your diet coke. For wine (or coffee) I like this smaller tumbler.
I could not decide which of these dresses to keep, so I am keeping both! I am taking the pink pineapple number with me to florida, while the blue feather will come with me on my Charleston girls trip. I also like the black cherry (also comes in white) print below.
