Last night I hosted my “book clubs” annual Holiday get together. I put quotations around “book”, as we haven’t actually read a book together in a few years! I always host our December/Holiday get together b/c I LOVE Christmas and deck my house out to the nines! This year we did something a little different with our gift exchange. Instead of buying one gift for a grab bag, we did our “Favorite Things” For this exchange, we had a budget and you bought one of your favorite things for EVERYONE! While this ends up costing more than a typical $25 gift exchange, it was SO much fun seeing what everyone else’s favorite things were! And.. you walk away with multiple gifts! We all were joking that we got more gifts last night than we will on Christmas. It was SO fun! I had such a hard time narrowing down my favorite thing! Below are the list of our “Favorite Things”
Teddy Slippers: These were my favorite things to give everyone. Slippers are the perfect gift b/c everyone LOVE slippers! I love these teddy slippers, they’re so cozy and soft. You should also check out the teddy robe that goes with this set, another great gift.
Ice Roller: this seems to be the hot item of the year. You keep it in your fridge or freezer and roll over your skin to reduce puffiness, swelling and calms redness. It also firms and refreshes your skin.
Chop Wizard: This gift is an example of why this exchange is so fun! My friend LOVES this chopper – and it’s not something you would automatically think to give someone. But when you back it up with – THIS IS MY FAVORITE THING, then I am intrigued and NEED it! She got this item as a wedding gift and says its great for chopping veggies in no time. She uses it for soups, salsa, sauces and more.
Vacu Vin Wine Saver: Since bookclub is more about the wine we drink than the books we read, this item was a HIT! It seals up your wine bottles (great for red or bubbly) to keep the bottle fresh for a week. Its great for those nights you really want a glass of red wine, but don’t want to open a bottle to just dump it out a day or two later when its bad.
Patchology All the Moods Masks: Face masks are such a good gift idea! Especially fancy/nice ones that you wouldnt normally buy yourself..
Patchology Under Eye Masks: This trio of under eye patches calms, restores and rejuvenates your skins. Keeping puffiness down and your face looking refreshed!
Pearl Deep Moisturizing Mask: Back to my previous point, fancy masks are a clutch gift! My friend lives near a Korean beauty store (lucky) and bought a bunch of these masks for us. Other masks were: avocado oil // water luminous // golden cocoon //
Starbucks Gift Card: When in doubt, a gift card is always the safe route to go! My friend also gave us a few scratch off lotto tickets, which is another fun stocking stuffer/add on item
