I learned all of my shopping skills from my mother (Nancy) – the ultimate discount shopper, outdoor market negotiated and price “adjuster” (I think they know her by name at Nordstrom). Below are her recent favorites that she wants to share with my fabulous followers!
My mom recently got an Apple watch for Christmas. While she changes out her band frequently she loves this silicone strap. It’s lightweight, inexpensive (under $10) and comes in a handful of colors
This Ipad case works as a cover AND a stand – making it easy to watch movies & facetime (with Finley)
My mom is really into yoga – she goes almost everyday. Two of her staples/favorites include this lululemon jacket dupe and these capri leggings. Combined, this duo costs less than one pair of leggings at Lululmon.
On the heels (or front) of the essential oils fade, my mom loves playing around with different scents with this diffuser. It’s comes in 2 “finishes” and blends in with decor instead of being an “eye-sore”
We love this multiple USB plug/adapter, esp when everyone is at home around the Holidays. It is a “plug in” device – so you can move it from room to room or bring it along on a trip. It allows for 2 USB chords (iphones, ipods etc) as well as a traditional plug in. HERE is a less expensive version, but only holds 2 USB chords.
We have always had pets in our family. Nancy loves this lint brush. It comes in a set of 2, one mini/travel sized and a larger brush. She loves how the lint/hair removes off the brush with the “self-cleaning” base. Just push the brush back into the base and the hair and lint will fall to the bottom (which is easy to remove and toss).
My mom swears by this stone cleaner. It not only cleans granite (and other stone) counters, but seals them at the same time.
My parents recently downsized to a condo where units do not have doorbells. My mom, along with all of her friends in her building, have purchased this wireless doorbell. It has over 50 different chimes to choose from and a range of about 500 feet.
I got my mom this hair removal tool for Christmas last year after I read about the rave reviews in a few magazines. The deal is, it really works. It removes a small area of hair at a time (instead of individual plucking) and is a bit less painful than waxing. There is a little “sting” (you are pulling your hair out), but once you get a hang of how to twist the tool, it’s almost addicting – you will be finding all kinds of hair to get rid of 🙂
This water flosser gets a deeper clean than brushing and flossing alone. I can personally vouch it will also remove food stuck in the back of your molars that a traditional toothbrush can not reach. My mom has had a few different brands and says this one is her favorite bc it’s lightweight and affordable (some can cost you up to $90!).
We have super thick hair and most elastic bands do not last long. These hair ties hold up well and do not leave creases.
